Low E glass doors
Low emission glass is a high quality, clear, float glass with a specially formulated, permanent, transparent coating. This glass has been specially developed to provide increased thermal insulation. The effect of the coating is to absorb and reflect the long wavelength energy (infrared heat energy generated by the sun, lighting and occupants). This keeps the radiation energy out of the cabinet and simultaneously increases the temperature of the outer glass pane causing it not to condensate at high humidity conditions – keeping the shop floor dry ! Low E glass doors are a standard on all Staycold products. The glass has a slightly brownish colour and all doors have the supplier LOW E mark in the corner.

U
values express the rate of heat loss. The lower the U value the greater the
thermal insulation. 70% of energy
loss on any glass door cooler is lost through the glass doors.
Thus, low E glass will reduce the total energy loss on a cooler by : 70%
x (2.6-1.6) / 2.6 = 27 %
Tempered glass - All
Staycold doors (SD & HD) are supplied with both panes tempered.
Extra large Condenser
and Evaporator with .14mm thick aluminium fins (vs. normal size with .09mm
aluminium fins) - Staycold
uses larger and thicker fin condensers and evaporators that give much better
heat transfer. Advantages: 1) a
condenser that does not clog up with dirt so easily; 2) extended compressor life
due to lower working head pressure; 3) a cabinet that is able to withstand
higher ambient temperatures; 4) lower electricity consumption.
Low noise fan blades - Staycold
use low noise fan blades to reduce noise levels by nearly 50%.
Shelves - The
flat bar on front of the shelves strengthen the shelve allowing it to take much
more weight. It does not show a bent through when loaded. It also gives the
option of putting price tags on the shelves.
All Staycold manufactured products are supplied with robust Epoxy coated
shelves.
EN441 Approved - Staycold submitted coolers to an appointed testing house in
the UK where it was tested according to EN441 temperature, performance and
energy consumption standards.
